A domestic disturbance outside a west Bryan convenience store resulted in injuries to the husband and the wife accused of hitting him with her SUV.

44 year old Wendy Riley of Iola was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Witnesses say Thursday night outside the Texan Market at Harvey Mitchell and Villa Maria, the husband was beating on the SUV when the wife began driving away.

According to the arrest report, the husband hung on and was dragged for about 20 feet before he fell. Then he got up and was struck by the SUV, throwing him about 10 feet.

Riley’s husband got in the SUV after he was hit and his wife was headed to the emergency room when police stopped her at south College at Villa Maria, outside another c-store.

From there, the husband was transported by fire department EMT’s to St. Joseph’s where he was treated and released.

Officer Kelley McKethan gave a shout out to witnesses for their assistance.
