Intoxication Assault Arrest This Week From A March Crash In College Station

A College Station woman was in and out of jail on Monday following her arrest on a charge of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury.

27 year old Tamara Murphy is accused of having a blood alcohol level more than two and a half times the legal limit.

That’s after being involved in crashes at two locations during the early morning hours on March 4.

According to the arrest report from College Station police, a pickup driven by Murphy struck several vehicles in the parking lot of the Park Place shopping center at Texas and Southwest Parkway.

About 20 minutes later, police responded to a pickup that caught fire after striking a tree on Foxfire Lane.

Murphy and a passenger were taken to the hospital. The passenger was admitted with a spinal fracture.

According to the arrest report, Murphy’s blood alcohol level was .209.
