The Brazos County sheriff’s office recently went live with a first in the nation communications system.
Sheriff Chris Kirk says they are the first law enforcement agency in the country to use mission critical bandwidth provided by AT&T that is associated with the FirstNet network.
FirstNet, using AT&T’s bandwidth on a priority basis, allows data to go back and forth between computers in sheriff’s vehicles and the sheriff’s office and/or the county’s emergency operations center.
