An iconic building in Historic Downtown Bryan is getting a makeover.
The Ice House on Main was built in 1912 as the Bryan Ice Company. Throughout the years, the 20,000 sqaure foot building has been home to furniture manufacturing, a nightclub and more.
Advent GX is redeveloping the building into multi-use development including special event venue and retail space. Other plans include a banquet hall to accommodate 500 seated guests and an additional community performance hall. Retail and restaurant concepts include a micro brewery/micro distillery.
To kickoff the redevelopment, Advent GX is inviting the public to a community photo day on Friday, October 2nd at 6:30 p.m.
“It’s such a beautiful building with great structure and character about it that we just thought it would be the right way to celebrate the kickoff to let people come out and take pictures,” said Joan Quintana, Director of Communications.
The community photo is part of the 10th Anniversary of First Friday’s in Historic Downtown Bryan.
