How Did The Lack Of Sun Affect You?

For the first time in eight days, Mr. Sun has returned.

Some may have notice it more than others, but Dr. David Earnest of the Texas A&M Health Science Center said the shorter winter days coupled with no sun can have an affect on you.

“The impact of not being able to see the sun for a long period of time, particularly during the winter when day lengths are shorter, is that it can have a profound affect on both physical and mental health,” he said.

Dr. Earnest also said sleep patterns can be affected because people want to sleep more on gloomy days.

He said people should do their best to keep normal sleep-wake and mealtime cycles during bouts of cloudy days to keep their internal biological clock running properly.
