Health Department Testing for Swine Flu

The Brazos County Health Department is testing for swine flu locally.

Brazos County Public Health Authority Dr. Charles Williams says they have sent off samples twice this week.

Wednesday 57 samples were sent and Thursday another 75 went to the state for testing for possible H1N1 virus.

As of Friday afternoon there have been 28 confirmed cases of H1N1 “swine flu” in Texas.

There are currently no confirmed, probable or suspected cases in Brazos County, although results of this week’s testing are expected anytime between now and Wednesday.
