Tomorrow/Saturday is your last chance this year to get rid of hazardous household waste in a safe and eco-friendly way.
College Station’s Recycling Coordinator Heather Qualls says from 7 a. m. to 2 p. m. at the University Services Complex, they’ll be taking paint, chemicals, CFL light bulbs, and florescent tube bulbs, which are almost impossible to get rid of during the year.
Qualls says they’ll also be taking batteries, medication, and most electronics, with the exception of microwaves and cordless phones.
She says the next such collection event is tentatively schedule for April.
