HOUSTON (AP) _ A second Harris County employee is accused of accepting bribes to provide clean urine to defendants out on bail.
Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Devine said Jorge Alfonso Campble was arrested Wednesday on charges of bribery and tampering with evidence.
The Houston Chronicle reported Campble, 45, was caught after investigators set up a sting with marked money, video recording equipment and a 23-year-old defendant on bail for possession of marijuana.
A call to Campble’s court-appointed attorney, James Brooks, by The Associated Press was not immediately successful Thursday night.
A different urine monitor was charged with bribery in May for allegedly taking $200 to submit a fake drug test form.
