The week after College Station police announce at least five cases of residents being startled in the early morning hours by a stranger in their home, a Grimes County man is arrested for criminal trespassing.

36 year old Christopher James Jones of Anderson is accused of walking into an apartment uninvited about 10:30 Monday morning and talking for two hours with two teenagers who live there.

According to the arrest report, Jones sat down as if he lived there…and started talking to the 14 year old girl and her 16 year old brother about drugs and sexually charged subjects.

The teens also said Jones changed his clothes from red basketball shorts and no shirt to blue jeans and a white shirt.

When the teens were asked why it took so long for them to call police, they said they were very scared of the man starting a confrontation with several large kitchen knives in plain view.

When the young people did leave the apartment, they lost sight of the man.

But a short time later, officers were notified Jones had entered another apartment.

Then Jones was found about a mile away in a parking lot pretending to be a construction worker.

Jones was arrested for criminal trespassing then admitted to a local hospital to be treated for using cocaine.

All this took place at apartment complexes along Southwest Parkway between Dartmouth and Central Park.

Last week’s CSPD alert was based on incidents that took place on the other side of town…near Holleman South and Harvey Mitchell Parkway.
