A woman who lives west of Waco was arrested last week on a child endangerment charge that took place outside a College Station motel last February.

According to the College Station police arrest report, city traffic cameras showed the woman who was driving a truck pulled into a motel parking lot at 1:30 in the morning and remained inside until she was discovered at 9 a.m. with the engine still running and the wipers going.

Also inside the truck was a two year old child in a car seat that was improperly installed and a barking dog.

The woman was taken to the hospital after the officer found what was believed to be Xanax and marijuana.

After investigators received a grand jury subpoena for medical records, investigators learned the woman tested positive for THC, amphetamines, and Benzos.

43 year old Tillie Smith of Gatesville is out of jail after posting a $25,000 dollar bond.

The arrest report did not indicate Smith’s relationship to the child.
