Last September, Saint Michael’s Episcopal School in Bryan was on the brink of closing due to lack of money.
Head of School Kate Lucchese says the final push to remain open for the foreseeable future takes place during February.
For every dollar contributed up to $100,000 it will be matched by $2.00 for a grand total of $300,000 dollars.
Lucchese says the only description she can give to the anonymous donor is that they are a longtime friend of Saint Michael’s who wants to see it continue.
Saint Michaels has been doing additional fundraising since an revealed shortfalls carried over from previous years that created a serious cash-flow deficit.
