Freeway Traffic Backed Up By Motorcycle Crash

A Madisonville man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after crashing his motorcycle on the freeway during the Monday afternoon commute.

College Station police report the cause of the wreck, located near the Southwest Parkway overpass, is unknown.

The 21 year old man riding the cycle was not wearing a helmet.

The crash was reported just after 4 p.m. One southbound lane was closed for more than two hours to remove the motorcycle from the median and for the police investigation.

According to a WTAW listener, that backed up traffic to the William Joel Bryan/Boonville exit, resulting in a 30 minute delay.
