Franklin Girls Fall to Brock, 78-38 in Class 2A State Semifinal

AUSTIN, Texas — Brock (35-2) moved one step away from a record sixth straight girls basketball championship and ninth overall after winning 78-38 over Franklin (30-6).

Lexi Ducat led Brock with 18 points, 12 rebounds, three blocked shots and two assists in 18 minutes. Rachel Williams added 13 points and six rebounds, and Rachel Harrell collected 11 points and nine rebounds.

Brock led Franklin 67-27 after three quarters, with a 43-9 rebounding edge. The Eagles finished with a 68-19 rebounding advantage. Twelve different Eagles collected rebounds with Madi Mayfield adding eight and Taylor Fulmer six to the Brock totals.

Kyla Walker led Franklin with 17 points. Carrie Casey added 10 points and Regan Blajeski finished with six. Franklin had 17 turnovers total.

Brock meets Wall in the 1:30 p.m. Saturday championship game.
