Two College Station men are in jail after they are accused of busting the back door of a Bryan home while an occupant was inside at 11 in the morning. According to the Bryan police arrest report, the back door was kicked in with enough force that the victim received a bloody nose from flying debris. The victim said the man who kicked in the door had a surprised look on his face, then ran away with the second suspect. Bryan and College Station officers were involved in tracking down both men from the victim’s home on Rosemary, to the area of Spring Loop and Autumn Circle. 20 year old Kameron Holley is accused of being the man who kicked in the door, causing the deadbolt lock to wind up on the kitchen floor still in the locked position. According to online records, Holley was out on bond from a May 31st arrest in College Station on a vehicle burglary charge. Also arrested in the Bryan incident was 19 year old Jervonta Neal.
For the second time in four months, a Bryan man is in the Brazos County jail. According to online records, 21 year old Casey Meehl was arrested by Bryan police on a charge of family violence assault causing bodily injury earlier this week. And he was arrested on a warrant from College Station police charging him with deadly conduct by firing a handgun while inside an apartment. According to the BPD arrest report, Meehl got mad when his wife was texting another man and he dragged her by the arm and kicked her in the back. Meehl said he was involved in a physical disturbance but denied striking the victim. As for the gunfire, the CSPD arrest report states in March, Meehl fired five shots in the direction of parked vehicles and other buildings from inside an apartment in the Towerpoint area. A bullet hole was found inside a privacy fence near a parking lot. Gunfire is also believed to have broken a back glass door. Meehl told officers he awoke after taking a sleeping pill to discover the damage. Meehl is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $75,000 dollars.
The 18th time Bryan police respond to a call to a home west of the downtown area in the last three months, an arrest is made on a charge of injuring an elderly woman. According to the BPD arrest report, 55 year old Charles Larry Johnson is accused of pushing a woman into a window air conditioner, causing her to fall. The arrest report made no reference to the woman receiving medical treatment. According to online records, Johnson was arrested four times in May for public intoxication. On June 19th, Johnson pleaded guilty to public intoxication with three prior convictions and was released from jail after serving 24 days of a 50 day sentence. Johnson remains in jail from his latest arrest in lieu of a five thousand dollar bond.
Two Bryan police officers became suspicious when a car they saw in a car wash at 2:20 in the morning was still there almost 90 minutes later. According to the arrest report, when the officers tried to wake up the driver they found a baggie with what appeared to be K-2 and a glass pipe that appeared to have residue from methamphetamine. Then the officers learned the driver was wanted on four arrest warrants…three of them on charges of family violence assault. That led to the arrest of 38 year old Marquis Johnson of Bryan. He is being held without bond on three of the four warrants. It’s the 11th time Johnson has been in the Brazos County jail in the last five years.
