Driving a car without insurance led the driver and three passengers to jail on charges of committing a car burglary in College Station early Wednesday morning.
A Texas A&M police officer stopped the car for the infraction at George Bush and Houston.
After smelling marijuana, the officer conducted a search. That turned up a white Texas A&M backpack, where the owner was found and reported they were unaware their vehicle had been burglarized in the parking lot of Callaway Villas on Marion Pugh.
Officers also found four guns, several boxes of ammunition, and a car stereo.
UPD reports the four men who were arrested are from Houston and none are affiliated with the university.

On December 7, 2016, at approximately 3:26 a.m., a University Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a white 2014 Dodge Charger at George Bush Drive and Houston Street.
Upon making contact with the driver and 3 passengers, the officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the individuals and the vehicle. The officer also observed remnants of marijuana in the back seat of the vehicle.
The officer conducted a search of the vehicle and located 4 firearms, a DVD car stereo, a white Texas A&M backpack and several boxes of ammunition.
Upon reviewing the contents of the backpack, the officer located the name of a possible owner of the property.
The subject was contacted and it was determined that the items were stolen from his vehicle at 305 Marion Pugh Drive in College Station. The victim was unaware the items had been stolen.
The individuals were identified as Xzavier Ellison, Daquandrain Paley, Tyler Jackson, and Taylor Jackson, all of Houston, Texas.
None of the individuals are affiliated with Texas A&M University.
All four subjects were arrested for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Theft of a Firearm. They were transported to the Brazos County Jail.
