Four Candidates Will Vie For A Vacancy On The College Station City Council

Four people will vie for a vacancy on the College Station city council.

Filing before Thursday’s deadline was the Texas A&M foundation’s director of development for veterans affairs. David Fujimoto is a retired lieutenant colonel in the Air Force. He also has a masters degree from the Bush School.

Following the filing deadline, a drawing conducted to determine the order in which names will appear on the ballot places Marycruz DeLeón Morales at the top, followed by Fujimoto, Elizabeth Cunha, and Joe Guerra.

Voter registration ends December 30th for the city-wide special election on January 28th from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at city hall.

Early voting takes place January 13th through January 24th at the College Station Utilities meeting and training facility on Graham Road.

If someone does not get a majority vote, the top two finishers will have a runoff on March 10th.
