A former student at Rudder High School is accused of telephone harrassment of a classmate.
18 year old Marshall Herklotz posted a $20,000 bond Monday. He was arrested last week, according to the arrest report, after sending at least 30 threatening phone calls to a female student within one hour. The victim told investigators he placed 100 calls in one hour.
Cell phone harrassment is one form of cyber-bullying. The Executive Director of Special Programs in Bryan ISD, Dr. Ellen Blair, says are two key reminders for students, parents, and educators. One is to connect students with positive peer groups.

The second key, which Dr. Blair calls “building capacity”, involves training children.

Dr. Blair also calls on parents to have open communication with their children. That way when there’s a change in moods, eating, and sleeping habits parents can visit with their children or the other way around.
