Former College Station Councilman And Brazos County Commissioner Tony Jones Dies

The city of College Station has announced the death of former councilman Tony Jones.

In addition to serving on the council between 1979 and 1983, Jones served one term on the school board and was a Brazos County commissioner between 1997 and 2003.

He was also appointed by governor George W. Bush to the regional water board where he served five years.

The funeral service for Tony Jones, who was 72, is Monday afternoon at one at Christ United Methodist Church.
