Former Aggie SS Pennington has Bells’ Palsy

Oakland A’s shortstop Cliff Pennington ofcourse is a former Aggie great and his 15-game hitting streak ended last Monday when he had to leave a game because of the effects of Bells Palsy. He had been diagnosed with the nerve disorder earlier that day. Bells Palsy is usually temporary and causes paralysis of one side of the face and the inability to close or blink the eye on that side. It can last anywhere from days or even a year depending on the severity of the nerve damage. Pennngton is said to be improving and is expected back in the line-up tomorrow for the A’s.
