From College Station police:
On Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 2:25 AM College Station Police Officers responded to an alarm call at the Shell Station located on the corner of HWY 6 and Harvey Road. Upon arrival officers discovered the back door open and the inside of the store in disarray. It was later determined that over $5,000 in cigarettes were stolen.
Prior to this call for service CSPD received information regarding possible burglary suspects coming to College Station. Based on this information officers were patrolling the major roadways into the City of College Station.
Officers completing the on-scene investigation were able to review video recorded by the store’s security system. They discovered that at least five suspects entered the store by prying open the front doors. The suspects were seen taking cigarettes and rummaging through the store. Video of the suspect’s vehicles were obtained as well and that information was broadcast to other officers.
At approximately 2:35 AM a CSPD Officer observed both suspect vehicles traveling South on HWY 6. The officer was able to stop one of the vehicles that had two occupants just north of the Navasota River. The second vehicle with the three remaining suspects continued south on HWY 6 and was eventually stopped by Grimes County Sheriff’s Office south of Navasota.
Based on video surveillance and items of evidence found inside both vehicles all five occupants in the two cars were charged with Burglary of a Building. The cigarettes taken from the Shell Station were not recovered during the investigation. It is too early in the investigation to determine where the cigarettes could be.
Burglary of a building is a state jail felony, punishable by six months to two years confinement and up to a $10,000 fine.
Five men from Houston were arrested…22 year old Isaiah Fleming, 30 year old Darryl Johnson, 39 year old Marcus Jordan, 23 year old Aaron Kimbrough, and 22 year old Samuel Wyatt-Johnson.
