DPS troopers say this was about one mile north of Anderson on Highway 90 Friday morning at 6:13 a.m.

A northbound semi hauling a flatbed trailer of iron had stopped after missed a turn. The semi pulled off the highway and was in the process of turning around when the northbound truck struck the trailer.

The driver of the pickup, 60 year old Melvin Iselt of Ledbetter, was airlifted to College Station Medical Center.  The front seat passenger, 33 year old Jeremy Haas of Giddings, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.  One of the back seat passengers, 57 year old Benjamin Gunter of Ledbetter, was airlifted to Hermann Hospital in Houston.  Also at St. Joseph’s are two other rear seat passengers, 38 year old Paul Iselt and 37 year old Kelly Iselt, both of Giddings.
