Five Arrests And More Expected In B/CS Gun Theft And Smuggling Operation

At least five local men have been indicted by a Brazos County grand jury on charges of stealing and smuggling guns.

Bryan police report more arrests are expected.

A BPD news release does not state the time span when the firearms were stolen and how many guns have been recovered.

But the news release asks gun owners to remove firearms from their vehicles and lock doors to their vehicles.

All five, who range in age from 17 to 21, were arrested for engaging in organized criminal activity.

Jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $300,000 dollars apiece, are 17 year old Cody Briscoe, 19 year old Tony Childs Jr., 18 year old Tyler Hammond, and 21 year old Reginald Richardson of Bryan, and 17 year old Willie Dixon of College Station.

The BPD news release also stated the indictments were the result of a cooperative effort with College Station police.
