First Season of Integrated Baseball in Bryan Recognized by City Council

The last meeting of the Bryan City Council included a Black History Month recognition of the first season of integrated baseball.

City Councilman Paul Madison emceed the presentation.  He was the first baseman on the 1964 Daniel Funeral Home Angels that played in the Connie Mack league.

Coach W.C. Daniels, Jr. and businessman Travis Bryan were co-sponsors.

Also speaking at the presentation were left fielder Kenneth Robinson and third baseman Herb Carter.
