Fire Danger Remains High

More firefighters may have been in the field than in the station on Monday.

All of the Brazos County volunteer departments along with an engine from the City of Bryan helped with a grass fire near Coulter Field.

Other Bryan fire units put down other grass fires inside the city limits.

All this comes on the eve of county commissioners considering lifting the burn ban outside of city limits.

Monday’s calls for Bryan firemen included a brief visit to Stephen F. Austin Middle School, to take care of a smoke bomb that was released in a boys restroom. The school was evacuated but no one was hurt and there was no damage.
