The recent arrests of three men in the Houston area for gun thefts may or may not be associated with a Bryan gun store theft five weeks ago.
Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk says the exposure generated by the arrests and two rewards will lead to more information to who took 80 weapons from “The Great Texas Gun Store” near Bryan.
Kirk says the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms has joined the local investigation.
In addition to a local Crimestoppers reward, the sheriff says ATF has added $5,000 dollars.
Chris Kirk visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
The Associated Press reports 274 firearms have been stolen since the beginning of December. As many as seven suspects may have been involved. Three masked men carrying two-way radios were arrested in Spring, Texas during the latest roof-top heist.
