While Valentine’s Day has come and gone, public awareness campaigns continue about domestic violence.
Beth Milam of the Brazos County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (BCCADV) says February is an appropriate time for National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

BCCADV members joined advocates throughout the nation to promote awareness about healthy and unhealthy dating relationships. The goal is to educate teens, parents and educators in schools and small groups through its “Love is Not Abuse” prevention education project. The organization is posting articles and resources to it’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Milam also an observation about last Sunday’s Grammy Awards telecast. Milam was troubled with the Grammy’s decision to allow a performance from Chris Brown, who remains on probation for the 2009 beating of Rihanna.
