Next year’s Brazos County budget includes $2.5 million dollars for a new home for the local AgriLife Extension office.
County judge Duane Peters talked about the new building after commissioners at this week’s meeting approved a $7,000 dollar contract to do a feasibility study.
The judge says the design firm will be working with the extension council about a project that might take a couple of years to complete.
The county judge supports building the new extension office on land the county currently owns next to the tax office.
