Employees at a Bryan fast food restaurant caught a counterfeit $20 bill from a drive through customer quickly enough to notify authorities.

It helped that an off duty constable and off duty fire marshal were working security at the Whataburger on Texas near Villa Maria.

The car was directed into a parking space while three police officers arrived to join the two working security.

The driver told police he had sold his cell phone for $100, and that must have been where he received the counterfeit $20.

19 year old Brandon Allen of Missouri City was arrested after police found $620 of counterfeit bills in his wallet, six $50’s and 16 $20’s.
