Almost ten pounds of ecstasy was found in a SUV that was pulled over by a Brazos County sheriff’s deputy for failing to signal a lane change and going 80 in a 70 mile per hour zone.

The traffic stop took place Wednesday on Highway 6 near the Texas World Speedway exit.

According to the sheriff’s office arrest report, the SUV was searched after a deputy smelled marijuana.

A Bryan couple, 30 year old Evanee Lawson and 33 year old Bradley Lawson, remain jailed without bond.

Quoting a sheriff’s office news release, “This is one of the largest quantities of ecstasy recovered from a traffic stop in Brazos County.”
