Failed Kidnapping Attempt in CS Thanks to Martial Arts

College Station police is investigating an attempted kidnapping where the suspect ran away after the victim used her martial arts experiences.

This was Monday night shortly before 11 in an alley behind General Parkway near Rock Prairie Road, west of Wellborn Road.

The victim told officers she was taking trash to the dumpster when a man jumped out from behind the dumpster and jumped on her back. The weight of the man caused the victim to fall down to one knee.

After the man told her “take me to your house”, the woman struck him in his face and torso.

The suspect let go and the woman ran towards her house.

The attack resulted in the woman receiving non-life threatening injuries.

The victim told investigators she did not look back to see where the suspect went.

The suspect is described as a white man, six feet tall, 180 pounds with short brown hair, no facial hair and no glasses, and wearing dark short sleeve shirt, dark pants, and shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600 or Brazos County Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS.
