Celebrate art and fight hunger with Empty Bowls on Saturday, February 28 at the Crystal Park Plaza.
Students and teachers from across the Brazos Valley have created handmade bowls for you to purchase.
With a donation of $10, get a handmade, decorated bowl, which you can fill with a hot bowl of gourmet soup from local restaurants including Shipwreck Grill, Amico Nave and Casa Rodriguez.
Bryan Broadcasting’s Tucker Young says the money raised will benefit the A and M Consolidated Food Pantry and The Arts Council.
“It’s a way where you can support local kids who are learning art and it gives them a great experience of being able to show their art, but it also goes to help the hungry in the Brazos Valley,” said Young.
The event starts at 10:30 a.m. and lasts until bowls and soup run out.
