Electricity Restored in North Texas

DALLAS (AP) _ A weekend without power ended for much of North Texas with electricity restored following storms since Wednesday.

Electric provider Oncor reported early Monday that all homes and businesses that can receive power have been restored.

The utility earlier reported outages to as many as 500,000 homes and businesses after thunderstorms pounded the Dallas-Fort Worth area last Wednesday and Thursday.

The National Weather Service says highs around 100 were expected throughout Texas on Monday.
