Thursday morning update:
An employee of a private electric contractor was injured in the second of two power outages that took place Wednesday afternoon in south College Station.
According to a tweet from the College Station fire department, the person was flown from the scene with a traumatic injury.
A BTU spokesperson told WTAW News the employee was working on a line on Greens Prairie Road when they were injured.
That injury also caused the power outage, affecting more than 2,100 customers in the area of Wellborn and Greens Prairie Roads for about 30 minutes.
Further details about who was hurt, the nature of the injuries, and what caused the injuries and the outage, have not been released.
Wednesday afternoon update:
There were two power outages in the same south College Station neighborhood on Wednesday.
The second outage, affecting more than 2,100 BTU customers, lasted about 30 minutes Wednesday afternoon.

Residents in the Creek Meadows subdivision did not have power for two and a half hours Wednesday morning.
BTU reported a broken insulator caused the outage, which affected about 1,000 customers.
The outage, which also affected Greens Prairie Elementary, Pecan Trail Intermediate, and Wellborn Middle Schools, did not affect start times.
Power was restored just before 8 a-m.
