Just over ten percent of registered voters in Brazos County participated in Tuesday election.
There will be one runoff. Out of 501 votes in the three way race for Bryan city council in single member district two, Perry Stephney received 45 percent and Rafael Pena 32 percent.
Elsewhere, Jason Bienski won re-election as Bryan mayor.

For the third time in six years, voters in the College Station school district pass a bond issue. CSISD board president Valerie Jochen says approval of the $83.5 million dollar package means voters want to continue growing in the way they have become accustomed.

Brazos County Voter Registrar Kristy Roe says the first election with the new photo I-D law went fairly well, noting voters in past elections used drivers licenses when they didn’t have their voter registration cards. Around the state, Roe says it was amazingly quiet, with no indication of any major issues. She says election officials statewide will gather in Bryan/College Station in about two weeks to review this and other issues.
