Easterwood Airport Receiving a $1.1 Million Dollar FAA Grant

Easterwood Airport is getting a $1,155,555 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

John Clanton of Astin Aviation, which manages the airport for the Texas A&M system, says the grant is going towards a runway repair project.

Clanton says depending on the weather and the pandemic, construction is expected to start next spring and last a few months.

$54 million dollars was designated at 12 Texas airports as part of the FAA’s nationwide award of $1.2 billion going to 405 airports.
