Officers dispatched to the Texas A&M Riverside Campus TEEX ITSI office building found an expensive mess Monday morning.
Two outer glass doors had been shattered, while inside the building, officers found William Johnson, Jr, 27, who said he threw a brick through the glass in order to use the phone in safety.
Police did not find any brick or any other person, but say Johnson was highly emotional and bleeding from his right hand.
Blood was found on several items inside, and in addition to the smashed double doors, an inner glass door, two chairs, an AED unit, a book shelf, and a display case were all damaged, adding up to $4,800 in estimated damages and maintenance fees.
Johnson was arrested for criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and public intoxication.
