Drunk Driving Arrests Follows A West Bryan Crash & Threatening A Trooper South Of College Station

A nearly head on crash on Highway 47 in west Bryan Saturday night resulted in one person going to the hospital and one of the drivers being arrested. Bryan police report a two-ton truck was going north in the southbound lanes when it struck the side of a Honda Civic. The car then struck a guardrail. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with a fractured leg, a broken nose, and a cut. The passenger in the car was not injured. The driver of the truck, who was also not injured, was arrested for intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury and the unlawful carrying of a loaded 40 caliber handgun and a 30-30 rifle. According to the arrest report, 24 year old Seth Maxwell of Bryan told police he did not call an Uber because he didn’t feel the need because he had only a short distance to drive to his destination.

A Fort Worth man remains in the Brazos County jail following his weekend arrest by a DPS trooper that began with going 83 miles per hour on Highway 6 south of College Station. According to the arrest report, 32 year old Willie Brawley was arrested for drunk driving with two prior convictions, driving with an invalid license with prior convictions, threatening to steal the trooper’s patrol car, threatening the trooper’s children, and threatening to kill the trooper.
