A Brazos County Sheriff’s deputy on Wellborn Road Monday morning was passed by a Mustang going 120 miles per hour.
That’s what the passenger in the car told the officer once the Mustang was pulled over at the end of a four mile chase.
The driver, 17 year old Charles Medina, was arrested for reckless driving and passing four vehicles in no passing zones along Wellborn between Schehin Road and Greens Prairie Trail.
Medina told the deputy he was late for work.
During the pursuit, the deputy reported he was going 135 and was having trouble keeping up.
The chase ended when the Mustang was caught in heavy traffic near College Station High School. A city patrolman who had clocked Medina doing 43 in a 25 school zone was able to pull over the Mustang.
