Driver Killed in Antique Car Crash

CONROE, Texas (AP) _ The rollover of a 1929 open-top Ford Roadster left one person dead and three others hurt in Conroe.

Police identified the driver who died as 45-year-old Daredeth Perry Ward. Autopsy results were pending Monday.

Conroe police say the accident happened Saturday night after Ward, two of her relatives and a friend were leaving a car show. The Conroe Courier reports police believe the antique car accelerated, exceeding the 40 mph speed limit, before flipping and ejecting all four occupants.
