DPS Looking for Possible Vehicle in Freak Fatal Accident

The Texas Department of Public Safety has received information about a possible vehicle involved in a freak accident last Sunday that killed a Bryan woman.

A piece of angle iron came off a vehicle on Highway 21 between Wixon Valley and Kurten and went through the windshield of an oncoming pickup.  The passenger, 33 year old Tracy Louise White, was struck by the iron and killed.

Trooper Jimmy Morgan says a motorist reported seeing the angle iron come off a white pickup, possible a 3/4 ton extended cab, that was towing a dark colored gooseneck trailer loaded with at least two round bales of hay and a hay rake implement.

The truck was occupied by two white men, each approximately 50 years old.

Morgan adds investigators also have video from a bank along the highway that assisted in identifying the pickup, trailer, and contents.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Bryan DPS office. Sgt. Charles Booker or Trooper Clay Zotz is 979-776-3131, and Sgt. Morgan’s number is  979-776-3147.

Jimmy Morgan visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
