Downtown Bryan’s Gain Is Bryan ISD’s Loss

The Downtown Bryan Association (DBA) has a new Executive Director.

Sandy Farris will be retiring from the Bryan school district at the end of May to lead the non-profit organization charged with coordinating and overseeing the growth and development of the area’s historic, arts, and cultural districts.

Farris has been the district’s communications director since 2003 and before that taught journalism at Bryan High for 20 years.

DBA board chairman Ben Hardeman says Farris’ “enthusiasm and passion for Downtown Bryan, combined with her experience and community connectgions, make her a great fit for the job.”
