A drug related shooting death in Bryan two and a half years ago has led to a murder conviction. A Brazos County district court jury that convicted 26 year old Marcus Watson Junior sentenced him Tuesday to life in prison. Watson was found guilty of the October 2012 death of Trevor Williams. Prosecutors say Watson and two others went to Williams home planning to buy marijuana, but Watson instead decided to rob Williams then shot him in the head. The life sentence followed the jury being told Watson was a gang member and since he was in jail was involved in fights with rival gangs and was sexually harassing female employees. Lawyers representing Watson asked the jury to consider a sentence on the “low end” on what was allowed, which ranges from five years to life.
