College Station Police is looking for information on the whereabouts of a young man who was living in College Station last month.
According to Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley, 21 year-old Michael Requenes last had contact with his family on May 22nd.
He is known to have ties to the Houston area. Anyone with information is asked to contact CSPD.
The Brazos Valley Solid Waste Management Agency (BVSWMA) announced at its board meeting on Tuesday the elimination of tipping fees for the cities of Bryan and College Station. Tipping fees or rates are what businesses, individuals, and/or municipalities are charged per ton of trash to dump at the Twin Oaks Landfill. James Edge, BVSWMA board member and Bryan City Councilman, says tipping fees for the cities have drastically decreased over the years thanks to the efficiency of the Twin Oaks Landfill’s operation. “The cities of Bryan and College Station will be paying nothing, and that includes the state and federal fees that are also a part of that, which come to a couple dollars per ton. BVSWMA is going to cover that and that will be reflected in both your utility bill and solid waste bill,” says Edge. College Station police wants to know if you were the victim of a parking scam the day of the George Strait concert at Kyle Field. CSPD Officer David Simmons says they received multiple reports from people who parked at the Treehouse Apartments on Marion Pugh. “People were wearing orange vests, waving people into these parking spaces. Unfortunately, a lot of those people who got scammed, got towed. So not only did they get their money taken, they got towed,” says Simmons.
