CSPD Prepares for Loud Party Calls

The College Station Police Department is expecting a busy weekend of calls to parties that get out of hand.

Click to hear WTAW’s Chris Clift talk with CSPD Lt. Billy Couch:

CSPD responded to 22 and 24 loud party calls respectively in the two weeks prior to college classes starting back up.

So far in the first week of classes the same type of call has required the attention of CSPD 77 times this week.

Couch says officers basically have a zero tolerance party when they are called to loud parties.

He says the calls often end up resulting in other citations such as minors in possession, providing alcohol to minors and public intoxication.

Year to date CSPD has responded to more than 1,100 calls related to noise complaints.

Anybody with complaints or concerns about a loud party should call CSPD dispatch at 764-3600.
