College Station police are investigating multiple burglaries at the Campus Crossing Apartments on Marion Pugh Drive Thursday night.
According to the CSPD news release, a resident was home when two men in hoodies entered through an unlocked door. The suspects fled when they discovered someone was inside.
On arrival, officers saw the suspects fleeing and a brief chase ensued, but the suspects were not caught.
During the search, several stolen electronics were recovered and returned to the owners.
Later, another resident of the complex returned home and discovered their apartment was burglarized. The suspects had again entered through an unlocked door.

On January 31st, 2019 at 2114 hours, Officers with the College Station Police Department responded to the Campus Crossing Apartments located at 800 Marion Pugh Drive for a report of a Burglary of a Habitation that was in progress. A resident was inside their apartment when two suspects entered through an unlocked door. The suspects fled from the apartment upon discovering the resident was at home.
As the first officers arrived, they observed the suspects fleeing the apartment building. A brief chase ensued and the suspects were able to avoid capture. With the assistance of TAMU University Police Department, additional units surrounded the complex and formed a perimeter. Officers and K-9 were used to search the complex but the suspects were not found. During the search, several stolen electronics were recovered and returned to the rightful owners.
While the investigation was ongoing, another resident returned home and discovered their apartment had also been burglarized. The suspects again entered through an unlocked door. Several items of their property is still missing.
The suspects could only be described as males of average height and build wearing hooded sweatshirts.
This case remains under investigation and additional charges are possible. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is encouraged to contact the College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600.
