CSPD Busy Morning with Car Burglaries on Harvey Rd

On 01/06/20106 at about 0645 hours, College Station Police Officers responded to a report of two men believed to be breaking into cars at 401 Harvey. Four minutes later another citizen reported that his black 2012 Chevrolet truck had been stolen from the 1200 block of Harvey Rd.

Upon arriving in the area of the car burglary, Officers encountered and detained two men fitting the description given by the complainant in the immediate vicinity of the complainant’s car. One of the men was found to be in possession tools used in car burglaries and property taken from the complainant’s car.

The second man was found to be in possession of a set of keys for the truck that had just been reported stolen. The truck was found parked in the 400 block of University Oaks and was returned to the owner.

Grant Patak, a 21 year old College Station resident was arrested and charged with:
Unlawful use of a Criminal Instrument
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
Failure to Identify (Fugitive from Justice)
Patak was additionally served with a warrant from Walker County for Possession of Marihuana.

Ethan Nash, a 23 year old resident of College Station was arrested and charged with:
Burglary of a Vehicle
Nash was additionally served with three Walker County warrants for Possession of Marihuana, Resisting Arrest and Evading.
