CSISD Sets Attendance Zone Deadline

Five weeks from now is when the College Station school board will learn the recommendations of new school boundaries. CSISD Trustees President Randall Pitcock says a study update was given at this week’s board meeting. The proposed boundary changes will be released the evening of August 30th.

That’s about two weeks after the College Station board holds its public hearing on next year’s school budget. Pitcock says the tax rate on maintenance and operation budget will remain at $1.00 dollar while there will be an increase in the bond fund. The budget hearing was scheduled for August 17th.

CSISD trustees also extended Superintendent Eddie Coulson’s contract another year, through June of 2013. Dr. Coulson was given a one percent pay raise for next year, the same as other district employees.
