It’s that time of year again for those interested in next year’s calendar in the College Station school district to choose their color.
Superintendent Clark Ealy says proposed changes reflect new state regulations that counts the minimum instructional time by minutes instead of days.
Dr. Ealy says everyone affected by the school calendar is invited to go online to the CSISD website and choose the green or red option.
Features of the GREEN option includes 81 days in the fall and 92 days in the spring, the last day of school is May 25, 2017, and a Labor Day holiday.
Features of the RED option includes 84 days in the fall and 89 days in the spring, the last day of school is May 24, 2017, and there is no Labor Day holiday.

After voting ends January 8, the school board will review the feedback and make a decision.
