News release from College Station ISD:
A&M Consolidated Middle School Assistant Principal Holly Scott has been promoted to Principal at Cypress Grove Intermediate, announced College Station ISD Superintendent Clark Ealy, today.
Scott will replace Kellie Deegear, who was named principal for CSISD’s third intermediate school last month. Scott and Deegear will finish out this school year in their current roles, before transitioning to their new roles this summer.
“Holly’s student-centered focus aligns well with CSISD’s mission and day-to-day practice,” Ealy said. “Her calm, professional and caring demeanor for students and staff make her the right choice to continue steering Cypress Grove in a positive direction.”
Scott has been the assistant principal at A&M Consolidated Middle School this past year.
Prior to that, she worked in Bryan ISD from 1993 to 2015, most notably as principal of Milam Elementary for three years and principal at Sam Houston Elementary for five years. Additionally, she served as BISD’s mathematics coordinator for four years before becoming a campus administrator.
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 1992 and her master’s degree in educational administration from Texas A&M in 2004.
