The new chief executive officer of the rebranded Arts Center of the Brazos Valley (formerly Arts Council of the Brazos Valley) Leslie Bowlin visits with Scott DeLucia on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs November 27, 2024. Grand Jury Indictment On An Arson Charge And A College Station Man Jailed For Violating Probation Now Accused Of Damaging A Texas A&M Bus

More than two years after a Bryan woman is arrested for setting fire to a U-Haul van, a Brazos County grand jury indicts her on an arson charge. 38 year old Krystal Ransome has been out of jail on bond since her arrest three months after the fire, which took place in June 2022 in the parking lot of a Bryan hotel. According to the arrest report from the Bryan fire marshal’s office, a man who rented the van said he had let Ransome stay in the vehicle after they had been arguing over relationship issues. Security video from the hotel showed Ransome damaging the van’s windshield before the fire was ignited. Ransome has been out of jail since posting a $10,000 dollar bond since her arrest in September 2022. College Station police release an arrest report last weekend of a College Station man who is accused of kicking a Texas A&M bus in August that resulted in damage estimated at $9,437.50. The CSPD arrest report says video from the bus shows when the bus stopped at Holleman South and North Dowling, the driver of a SUV got out and kicked the right panel of the bus. The driver of the SUV, who was interviewed in jail, said he did not recall what happened. Bond for 26 year old Donovan Isaac on the felony criminal mischief charge was set at $20,000 dollars. Online records show Isaac has been in jail since October 15th on a charge of violating probation for a felony family violence assault that happened in February 2022.

College Station’s Tourism Office Receives City Council Suggestions For Future Holiday Events

An update by the city of College Station’s assistant tourism office director to the city council this month included council member suggestions about future events during the holiday season. William Wright was interested in having events at Wolf Pen Creek Park and asked to consider something that tied into College Station’s history with trains. Melissa McIlhaney pointed out what happens where she grew up in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Bob Yancy asked to consider an aerial light show with moving drones.
